Next month Riskcast is celebrating our 2 year anniversary with our friends and partners at Rockforce Construction, an elite ground-down infrastructure company headquartered in Southern California.

We’ve been working with Rockforce on a unique and fascinating project called Crystal Cove, on the border between Laguna and Newport beaches in California.  They are restoring  17 cottages, built 100 years ago, on the top of a beautiful bluff. They have been vacant since 1948.  Their positioning on the bluff required the special skill of the Rockforce team to drill and reinforce the foundations before restoring them to their original condition with original materials so that they can eventually be rented out as part of the location’s hotel. Each cottage was built by an individual person, so materials are dramatic and different for each one.

As you can imagine,  a job as unique and complex as this one requires lots of cost codes (over 700!) and lots of different types of tradesmen and women. Riskcast has been at their side, tracking man-hours, equipment, and material, and helping them plan for what comes next.

Rockforce Senior Project Manager Doug Geist said

"I love Riskcast for its simplicity.  It allows me to keep a close eye on material quantities, and I can pull a range of reports in a fraction of the time it would take with most other programs."

After working together for the past two years we’ve helped them track dozens of crew and over 47,000 hours of work.    And we are excited to share that Rockforce was recently awarded the next phase of the contract adding another 13 cottages.

“Rockforce is an ideal client for us,” said Alec Thomson, CEO of Riskcast. “They wanted a way to simplify paperwork and accurately track production to ensure they completed the complex work on time and within budget.   Today, on our platform, they can track production daily, run payroll in under an hour and produce daily reports, job cost reports and more with the click of a button.  It doesn’t get simpler or more efficient than that.”
